Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio-Ruiz born on 10 January 1993 is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He is referred to as "the King of the New Reggaeton"[2][3and is part of "the new generation of Puerto Rican urban artists. The debut studio album, Afrodisiaco, was released in the month of November in 2020. Vice Versa was his follow-up studio album. The lead single, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. From 12 nominations, he has won two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Ruiz the Latin Grammy Award winner, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on January 10, 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas and Carolina. Alejandro's father guitar player Raul Ocasio , Ruiz and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to many of his musical heroes, including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley as well as Chris Brown. [6] Alejandro was a part of his father's household for many years throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami, where the music he listened to was influenced by R&B and the dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel A.A., a co-worker of the Puerto Rican rapper are childhood friendships. They went to the same school and shared classes. 9/10/10 Alejandro was a talented dancer in his youth and was an active participant in talent shows. He was enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico after having graduated from high school. He played soccer between six and twenty. He eventually resigned because he was unable to perform as expected. To be scouted for the Premier Development League (PDL), he moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's music style includes Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballsads and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that it has contributed to "set him out from the growing group of reggaetoneros who are influenced by pop". [23] He was initially influenced by Presley and Jackson as well as later on by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee as well as Chris Brown. [24He also credits Ciara as a musical influencer.
